FLU Vaccination Service

The Flu Vaccination is available from October – the service is FREE if you are registered with a GP within our local area and fall within the following criteria:

- 65 years old and over
- Pregnant
- Have a serious medical condition (including diabetes, heart/chest/kidney conditions)
- Living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility (not including prisons, young offender institutions or university halls of residence)
- The main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill
- A frontline health or social care worker

Pharmacy First

Save time and avoid waiting to see a GP. If you have a minor ailment think Pharmacy First and speak to our pharmacist.

Patients can access quicker and more convenient care, including the supply of appropriate medicines for minor illness.

Patients can access the NHS Pharmacy First service for the following conditions:

• – Acute Otitis Media (1 to 17 years).
• – Impetigo (1 year and over).
• – Infected insect bite (1 year and over).
• – Shingles (18 years and over).
• – Sinusitis (12 years and over).
• – Sore throat (5 years and over).
• – Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections in women aged 16-64.

* Under each of these conditions, our pharmacist will be able to prescribe certain prescription-only medicines.

Advice from our pharmacist is always free. You will be seen promptly by a member of our pharmacy team and you can ask to be seen in private in our Consultation Room.

Pharmacists are highly qualified health professionals and are experts in the use of medicines.
